ERTLIF
First Ertlif album from 1972, featuring the original tracklist and sound taken from the original master tapes.
Second vinyl: A bonus LP consisting of previously unreleased 1971 demo recordings, done at the band's rehearsal studio without overdubs. With these demos, Ertlif were offered a recording contract with Tell Record.
Also included as bonus is "Plastic Queen" from 1973, taken from the compilation Heavenly and Heavy - Mixed Swiss Rock Candies.
One of the earliest of Swiss progressives, Ertlif were fronted by an English vocalist and had a very English style with strong hints of Deep Purple and Black Sabbath, they also had a Teutonic edge (much darker than Jane) that lent a doomy Ainigma or Necronomicon edge, in a music that had folky touches and an abundance of classical references.
2017 Reissue on Sommor Records from spain. 2 × Vinyl, LP, Album, remastered. Insert with liner notes by former band member Teddy Riedo plus rare photos and memorabilia.
